The food here was better than I expected and reasonably priced. High-quality taste for an affordable price. Even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait. Great family style dishes to share and we still had a lot of food leftover.

Wife received a Gift Certificate for this highly recommended restaurant. Not being familiar with Middle Eastern food, we brought along three members our Syrian part of the family. Oh my, what a GREAT experience! The restaurant is beautifully furnished with high ceilings, nice lighting, interesting art work, and very clean! Our party of 5 each ordered what proved to be a refreshingly delicious beverage, either the Mint Lemonade or the Peach Mango - SO, SO GOOD! We started off with the AL-Basha Mezza, a delicious assortment of spreadable concoctions, one better than the other, on fresh pita bread -YUM! Given our total satisfaction with ALL our appetizers, we wanted to try ALL their entrees. Perfectly suited to our wishes was the Mix Mashawi which included: Char Grilled Filet Mignon, Kofta Kebob, Chicken Kebab, Shawarma, and Rice. We ordered For 4 and had left over. All good but most especially the Filet and Chicken. When the waiter asked if we'd like coffee or dessert, my guests begged off but I said, "Hey, lets try all three!" Pistachio Ice Cream, Baklava, and a special milk pudding were sampled by all. We'll Be Back - For Sure! CAUTION: While I would NEVER park in a cross walk, I received a $55 parking ticket for parking "Within 25 feet of the cross walk". WHAT!!! We'll see what happens when I take this up in Clifton's "virtual court" in October.

UPDATED: I love Basha very much, I was upset earlier because the managers did not properly resolve my to-go order mixup, so I left a review here, and within the hour one of the owners for Basha personally reached out to me, called, and left a text message apologizing for the unsatisfactory experience I had, asking me to call back. I called him back and it was a great conversation, I am grateful restaurant owners like this exist. Basha is an institution in Paterson, not only because their food is great, but because they truly care about their customers. I know this because I experienced excellent service after a mistake was made on my to-go order earlier this evening. The managers at Al-Basha are really fantastic, the mixup was one unfortunate mistake. It happens! Will always recommend Basha to everyone! Cheers!

Decided to get lunch at this spot. The order was called in. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked in and went to the counter. The food was ready. I ordered the half chicken. I paid and left. When I dug in, the food was actually good. I enjoyed the hummus as well that I got. All in all, it was a decent experience.

One of the best Middle Eastern places in the NYC area. Excellent drinks. Great and attentive service. Delicious food. Their hummus, falafel, and fried cauliflower are the standouts in the whole menu. The rice - I can eat the whole thing by itself.

Al Basha is a top tier restaurant in Patterson, NJ! There is usually a wait list around dinner time on a weekend but it always moves way faster than expected and sooo worth the wait! It excels in pretty much every category starting with amazing decor: From the olive tree in the middle and along the corners, to the paintings all around the restaurant, I was in awe to walk into such a creative design encompassing Palestinian roots Service was astounding.. everyone that worked at this restaurant tended to our table whenever we had a question or needed anything at all, I never had to wait to make eye contact or raise my hand, they would come over in no time to help.. let me tell you this level of service is hard to come by Finally the food: we got the mixed mashawi for 4 with shawarma, chicken kebab, beef shish kebab, and kefta kebab and it would have been enough for over 5 people. Each meat was cooked to perfection and the garlic sauce (toum) and hot sauce complimented the meat exquisitely. Special shout out to the mint lemonade which was perfectly refreshingly and oh so fresh, but can we expect any less at such an impressive establishment? I would recommend this restaurant to anyone near Patterson, NJ, and if you're not near Patterson, NJ, you should make the trip!

The food was absolutely fantastic. Had the filet mignon shish kebab, and it was done perfectly. The steak was a great medium rare, while the rice was ideally seasoned. Then I added in the kofta, which put the filet to shame. Add some pita and labinah, and the entire meal was pure excellence.

I've never eaten here but I do order out from this restaurant and I am never disappointed! So tasty and full of flavor! I look forward to one day dining at their beautiful restaurant.

This is the Al Basha location for pick-up only! Al Basha Restaurant opened up a new location for dining patrons on Crooks Avenue. So this Main Street location is now for takeout only, but don't worry, it is still as good as the restaurant when it pumps out its food. I was NOT disappointed by ordering at this location and taking it home. The flavors were all there, the freshness was all there and more importantly- you get a Yelp check-in offer... so do not forget to check-in! With my order they gave me all the condiments and especially that garlic dipping sauce. Don't forget to check your bag before you leave. It's a NECESSITY to have that garlic sauce... it's part of the meal experience. Also, they give you a bag full of their homemade fresh pita bread, and it's amazing! Warm, doughy, great for dipping or stuffing your kababs in.

When you are in Paterson, you can't go without having shawarmas and felafels :) I was roaming around for a good place and landed in Al bashas. From outside it looked like this place was closed but there was a small door and they were taking Take out only . There was. A terminal through which we ordered our food. Price was good. Not too expensive . The only issue was wait time : they said 15 mins to make 2 shawarmas and 1 felafel roll and it took more than 35 mins . It looks like most of them ordered online and then took the food after 30-45 mins . We did not know about ordering online . Next time I'll never order in store .. takes a longggggg time and not much of help around ... Food was good though. After so much of wait , i was satisfied with the quality of shawarma and felafel .. just for the food and price , I gave them 4 stars . Parking is tough in main street . Overall a ln average experience waiting for food , but the food tasted good .. .
